Manitoba schools teach students from 5 to 18 years of age. High school prepares students aged 14 to 18 for post-secondary education and training or employment after graduation. The Manitoba Government funds public schools and develops their courses. Independent or private schools receive public and private funds. They teach courses approved by the government. Both systems are well funded and provide high quality education.

In high school, you can choose from a wide range of academic programs offered in English, Français or French immersion (combination of French and English). It is also possible to choose a technology training focus. High school programs are flexible in order to fit your ambitions and requirements. By combing compulsory and elective courses, you can create a balanced and challenging program.
